As promised this will contain my European matches and its conclusion which unfortunately didn't end very well :(
In the previous post i reported that we were flattened by Tottenham so it was the Europa league for the bhoys. Well i should show you all the screenshots of our finished group which i scraped out of due to superior for and against stats.
From there we drew Werder Bremen in the first knock out round luckily in both legs we performed very well the screenshot below is off the 2 legs.
Lots of booking for bremen we performed i was expecting a harder confrontation but obviously
i was wrong !
Despite an admirable showing against Bremen we were very poor against our 2nd knockout round opponents Schalke as the screenshots show below there not worth talking about, very poor results no goals from Celtic and Schalke managed to get through the round with a 87 minute goal from Ivan Rakitic.
Anyway thats the end of Celtic travels the next post will be the end of the season and we did very well!
The Bhoys Blog Football Manager 11
As football manager 2011 has been released i have decided to create a blog documenting my seasons with celtic

2 Dec 2010
1 Dec 2010
Lots of news !!!
Well as promised i will show you all my progress in the first season and the transfers that i have along with the euro progress. I must tell though that i could not help myself and i played more matches than half a season and I'm now currently up to 27 matches played in the league :) Here are the results so far:
As you can see we managed to beat Dynamo Kyiv and came very close to the Champions League group stage but unfortunately we were flattened by Tottenham quite frankly, from there we have only lost twice to Dundee utd and hearts. Information to note is that we played the the main enemy Rangers twice, both league confrontations, both draws. The first ended in a 1-1 both teams central defenders managed to score Bougherra and Maj. Bookings came as expected lol. A positive that i took was our dominance in shots and possession although shots on target in contrast to shots took wasn't too brilliant.
The second old firm game was at Celtic park obviously and yet again we dominated in possession and shots. More yellow cards, the main point is 14 shots from the bhoys 1 on target ! Which is dismal. In truth the match was horrible and i wont say anymore about it!
Luckily there are two more old firms to come the sadly they are both away. The first game being the final league confrontation and the second is the Scottish cup quarter final naturally i hope we can win both.
Now i must show you the league table as it is reasonably tight. After 27 games i am top of the league with 61 points but Rangers are second with 56 points with a game in hand so they could close the gap. Interestingly hearts have been on a very good run and have set a new spl record of 12 game unbeaten and are only 2 points behind our rivals.
Poor Hamilton and they signed this guy surprisingly:
Unfortunately i don't have time to post the European conquest so will post it next
Beginning of Season 2010 - 11
Being the first post i should explain the blog more, i am a very big fan of Celtic the top team (as far as i'm concerned) in the scottish premier league although there is evidence against seeing as Rangers have won the spl the last 2 seasons and are currently ahead :( Celtic and Rangers are considered to be the two best teams in the spl and rightly so they both have players of great quality however i support Celtic so this blog will be completely devoted to football manager 2011 seasons with Celtic.
To start of i should show the transfers made in the first transfer window. PS i would like to thank vitaliy of the true football manager blog, a blog which i check daily for updates on his currently Fm 11 season with deportivo and last season leeds and ones before that. The reason for my thanks are that he created a free transfer list which has very helpful in my Celtic season. I also mention the true football manager blog free list so that you do not think i claim any credit for finding these players!!!!!!
Anyway back to the bhoys:
The first transfer was a free very competent goalkeeper Fabian Carini he as some pretty out standing attributes such as Reflexes, Aerial Ability and One on Ones considering he free its a good piece of business.
The Second transfer was also a free Enzo Maresca a Midfielder/ Defence Mid who has very good Attributes he is a regular in the first team normally just as a central midfielder role.
The final free and third transfer is Oliver Kapo who is adept playing in many midfield and attacking midfield roles though i play him normally Right Midfield.
This final transfer of the first window is Mikael Dorsin who actually cost money, left back signed from Rosenborg for £2mil Mikael is good choice and an alternative to just as good Izaguirre.
That wraps up the transfers in the first window later in the week i will up date with the first half of the season including my progress in europe and the spl performance (The old firm derbies!) up to the january transfer window. Oh the excitement must be killing you all :)
